Christian Daoust (actra)

Christian’s passion for drama and his natural affinity for the works of Shakespeare declared themselves early and influenced his training. After graduating with Distinction from Concordia University in Honours English Lit and Creative writing, Christian went on to LAMDA in London, England, where he trained in historical dance under Diana Scrivener; in Laban under James Kemp; excelled in stage combat under the tutelage of Jonathan Waller and Rodney Cottier; and received a Master’s degree in Classical Acting for the Professional Theatre in September 2015.

Christian is completely bilingual and bicultural. He is trained in Phonetics and is a gifted mimic with a facility for dialects, including Native RP speaker, Canadian, French Canadian and American accents, which he often combines with his natural comedic sensibility and physicality. He is also trained in motion capture and voice work—an interest he would like to pursue seriously. Christian continues to write drama, fiction and creative non-fiction, and has written for short films and the stage.
