Jeremy Michael Segal Driven by an irresistible passion for discovery, Jeremy Segal has always endeavored to see the world from a different perspective. From a young age he has been interested in art and science. Be it an event on such a grand scale as the formation of a galaxy or the microcosmic significance of the human impulse to create, Jeremy is enthralled by the possibility of comprehension. It is this enthrallment that leads him to his passion for acting — an artistic medium which, in its most beautiful form, can encompass the entirety of human expression and show the true impact of our interaction with other human beings. Jeremy's creativity was nurtured and inspired during his three years of study in the Professional Theatre Program at Dawson College, where he played a diverse range of leading and supporting roles in over seven productions — including Trigorin in The Seagull, Don Armado in Love's Labours Lost, Chandebise and Poche in A Flea in her Ear and The Diplomat in The Coronation Voyage. He was honored to be chosen as the recipient of the Beryl and Willie Moser Award for Theatre in recognition of 'outstanding acting ability.' He graduated in 2011 with honors. Harnessing his vigorous passion for creation, Jeremy explores many artistic possibilities — focusing on acting but also exploring writing, photography, video and anything that inspires him. His writing has earned him a place in the Educational Outreach Program at the Homer Watson House & Gallery in Kitchener, Ontario, as well as various publications in student writing anthologies; his experimental film work earned him the Ronnie Terry Award for Excellence in the Creative Arts at St. George's School of Montreal. He is currently looking to display his photography. Jeremy, having recently graduated, is excited to step into a world of possibilities. |
