Aimée
Ambroziak (actra)

It comes as no surprise that Aimée
has chosen a career in the dramatic arts; as a three-year-old the caregivers
at her daycare nicknamed her Sarah Bernhardt, as a tribute to her play
acting. Later, at the ripe old age of four, Aimée got a standing ovation
at a dance recital at Centre Pierre Peladeau where she charmed the audience
by her sheer delight being on stage. This delight and thrill has never
worn off.
During her High School and College
years Aimée kept at it and her passion and dedication paid off – with
nice roles in Big Wolf on Campus, George Clooney’s’ Confessions
of a Dangerous Mind and Stick it. All the while studying
and doing play after play, it was a challenge that Aimée was delighted
to take on.
A graduate of Concordia University’s
theatre program, Aimée got to work with some amazing and eye-opening directors.
She co-founded the Attack Attack Players, an improv and comedy group that
put on independent productions. Upon graduation, Aimée spent a year touring
northern Québec and parts of eastern Canada with Geordie Productions in
All the World and A Promise is a Promise.
Aimée has continued honing and
broadening her skills – she recently completed a course in theatre directing
with Sarah Stanley and has just returned from an intensive improvisation
course with Chicago’s historic Second City. In her spare time, Aimée draws,
paints, cooks, loves to travel, watch Hitchcock, visit museums and is
always up for an adventure. |
