Jude Beny (actra, caea)

Jude runs the gamut, from the quietly evil school nurse in Lucky McKee's soon to be released The Woods to crazy mama Evelyn Kent in Richard Roy's Forbidden Secrets. Working in both Montreal and Toronto, she recently played key roles in the popular series: Regenisis II directed by Clement Virgo and Kojak directed by Norberto Barba as well as appearing in a special episode of CBC's The Fifth Estate.

She is heard regularly on CBC radio, portraying Elsie Reford on Ideas and narrating short stories on Cinq À Six as well as working in radio drama. She also lends her voice to commercials and industrials including Air Canada (first-class international) for which she has won industry awards. She is a dialect specialist.

Classically trained in Canada and internationally she has been instrumental in the development of new Canadian drama working with Peter Hinton, Paula Danckert and Eda Holmes among others.
