Kim Handysides (actra)
A heavy hitter in the voice over acting world, Kim is an industry leading voice artist for in Montreal and now in international markets. With roots in theatre, film and broadcasting, Kim began commercial voice work shortly after college and quickly became a key player. Within thirty-years, Kim voiced over fifteen thousand projects from:
- commercials and gaming characters
- to documentaries and TV series
- to virtual reality and eLearning
- to award ceremonies and audiobooks.
Currently her TV narration for Occult Crimes can be seen on Netflix.
In 2019 Kim won a Society of Voice Arts Award for Best Voiceover in LA for her performance on The Culture Question an audiobook she produced in her own studio. She has also been nominated 4 times at the SOVAS for Best Voiceover for TV commercial (three times) and Trailer. She has helped clients win Bessies, Brandon Hall and Communicator awards, over 50 altogether. Other notable nominations include Cannes Lions and a Golden Palm for her work in commercials and the animated short “To Be.
