Sabrina Reeves

Sabrina Reeves (caea, aea, actra, sag)

Sabrina has had the good fortune to work with such directors as Denys Arcand, Denis Villeneuve, Stanley Tucci, Kim Nguyen, Mel Shapiro, Jean Pierre-Jeunet, Nicolas Monette and Arto Paragamian.

Born and raised in Boston, her acting career began at roughly age 8, performing speeches at dinner parties held by her parents. A Queen Elizabeth speech that began ‘My loving people…’ was a personal favorite and a sure crowd-pleaser. She continued acting through her tumultuous teen years and ultimately received a BFA in drama from Carnegie-Mellon University. Upon graduation, she moved to New York where she worked in film, theatre and television for 7 years before meeting and marrying Canadian musician, David Usher.

Together, they moved to Montréal. It was here that Sabrina would meet a dancer, a filmmaker and a sound designer and form the collective bluemouth inc, with whom she would go on to create over 10 original inter-disciplinary works, perform all over the world, receive countless government grants, and be the subject of several Canadian Theatre articles. Inspired by her work with bluemouth inc, Sabrina went on to complete an MFA in Creative writing from Concordia University and has had two original works produced at Théâtre la Chapelle: Les creux d’un rêve and Blindsided.

Sabrina is also a mother of two and a professional photographer who has shot the headshots of hundreds, if not thousands of actors in Montréal, Toronto and New York.
