Joan Hart

Joan Hart (actra-a)

Joan made her professional theatre debut in the role of Lyne Harper in the Montreal Centaur Theatre and National Arts Center production of Innocence Lost, under the direction of Roy Surette.  After landing parts in several Canadian television shows and commercials, Joan entered the Dawson Professional Theatre Program in Montreal where she immersed herself in the study and craft of the dramatic arts.

Joan fell in love with Shakespeare at Dawson College, and after her second-year studies concluded, she enrolled in the Shakespeare & Company’s Center for Actor Training in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. In her first Shakespeare production she played Claudius and The Ghost in Hamlet at the Dome Theatre. In 2020, Joan graduated from Dawson College with the Beryl and Willie Moser Award for Outstanding Acting and the Garry Plaxton Award for exemplifying the qualities of dedication, generosity, and respect for the profession.

When Joan is not on the stage or in front of a camera, she can be found at the gym working as a Personal Trainer to help others reach their fitness goals, or training herself to become her own best version of ...a Super Woman.
